Where are you located?
In Punta del Este, Maldonado, by appointment, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm (Uruguay time, UTC−3). The first consultation is arranged by WhatsApp or email.
What is the difference between closing and liquidating a company?
Closing a company with DGI and BPS (the tax and social security authorities) is a simple administrative step, but the company still exists. Liquidating it is the full process that puts a formal end to it: dissolution, liquidator, inventory, payment of debts, final balance sheet, distribution among the partners and cancellation of the registration. It has notarial and accounting steps, which is why the notary and the accountant carry it out together.
Why does it help that the notary and the accountant work together?
Because almost every procedure has two sides. A property sale, an inheritance or a company involves notarial acts and also taxes and filings. Coordinated from the start, you do not have to carry papers from one professional to another.
Do you handle subdivisions and condominium regime?
Yes. The notary studies the titles and prepares the condominium regulations and deeds, and our associated technical team handles the plans and the procedures with the municipality.
Do you manage properties and buildings?
Yes. We manage properties and condominium buildings: common expenses, collection of fees, payments to suppliers and staff, reserve fund and accountability, with a system where each owner can follow the movements in real time.
Do you work with other professionals?
Yes. We have associated consulting teams in legal advice, architecture and construction, and other fields, for whatever each case needs. You keep a single point of contact.
Can I do the procedure if I live outside Uruguay?
Yes. With a power of attorney we coordinate property purchases and sales, inheritances and companies remotely, and we serve you in English and Portuguese as well as Spanish.
How do I make an inquiry?
By WhatsApp to Notary Lorena Yasinsky (098 376 873) or to CPA José Wasiluk (095 218 191), or by email to estudiocontablenotarial@wayauy.com, telling us your procedure and the documents you already have.
